Here are some of the details on SPAT Camp that will begin on Monday June 14th.

Monday 9-5pm (we talked about about starting at 8am but I’m not sure if we really are) Practice is at Elk River. Parents providing dinner that night then the band will be going over to the school board meeting to perform at 6pm. Then the band will be bussed to Trott Brook neighborhood for March for Moolah Fundraiser. Times of the fundraiser are from 7ish til 9pm. Band should be back to the high school at or around 9pm. Some parents and students will be addressing the School Board that night, so any and all parents to help with the fundraiser would help.

Tuesday 9-6pm at Rogers High School. dinner provided at around 6pm. March for Moolah in Rogers and Otsego neighborhoods. Bus should be back at the Rogers High School at or around 9pm.

Wednesday 9-6 at Rogers, Parent Preview night to follow practice. Parent preview night consists of the band doing a dress rehearsal for the parents, then we eat. Parents should bring a dish to pass and some meat for grilling. Band board will provide the grills, although we are looking for 1 or 2 more grills and they can be transported with the Meyers. Parent night usually ends around 8-9pm.

Thursday 9-3 Spat camp….there was some confusion as to where the practice would be. Schedule says Rogers, but we think that Elk River is probably the place because the parade in in Milaca and it would be best to leave from Elk River that night. I don’t know the schedule for the rest of the day. According to the calendar, the parade is at 6:30.

What the kids will need, they will definitely need lunch for every day of spat camp and a water bottle. Sunscreen and any other form of sun protection. comfortable shoes and clothes. Most kids wear their dinkles (parade shoes)
