Join A Committee


Support the Cadets and Winter Arts by joining a committee! It takes a many volunteers to ensure a successful season for the Cadets in the summer and the Winter Arts performers in the winter.  Below are outlined committee opportunities as a way to get involved. If you'd like to get involved at a higher level or have a skill set that could benefit the organization, please don't hesitate to contact us at 728CadetsMarchingBand@gmail.com.

Committees


Equipment and Props


This committee is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the equipment, instruments and props for the band. This committee will work with the directors and treasurer to design and purchase materials for the props.


   Lead: Todd Hildebrand

Event Planning


This committee is the lead for event planning. This committee recruits volunteers for events and primarily the HomeShow. The committee plans and coordinates the summer and winter banquet, researches and recommends community outreach events to the board, and oversees the full execution of approved events and summer band camp. This committee works with the fundraising team lead to aid in fundraising efforts.

Fundraising


This committee is responsible for raising funds for the 728 Cadets Marching Arts. Fundraising can be accomplished by corporate and civic donations, grants, volunteering, selling of items, raffle tickets, or any other legal method of fundraising for a non-profit organization.

Internal / Organization Communications


This committee is responsible for the internal communications for the 728 Cadets MarchingArts. The lead for the committee will need to be experienced with gmail and writing email correspondence.


   Lead: Amy Monson

Merchandise


This committee is responsible for the 728 Cadets and River Valley branded merchandise. At the beginning of each season show shirts are created and will need to be ordered and distributed to all students. This position is also responsible for seeking out new products to sell and keep a modest inventory on hand for sales at info/parent nights.

Performances and Competitions


This committee is responsible for coordinating with the directors to plan all performances, parades and competitions. This committee is responsible for registering the band, arranging bussing, meals/lodging for overnight trips and other needs for the competitions/events/parades.

Public Relations


This committee is responsible for the external communications for the 728 Cadets Marching Arts. The lead for the committee will need to be experienced with website design and social media platforms or recruit a few individuals with very specific skills.

Trailer


This committee is responsible for maintaining the operability of the three trailers in addition to ensuring that they are drivers scheduled to tow them to their respective places.

Uniforms


This committee is responsible for the ordering, distribution and maintenance of the uniforms needed throughout the marching seasons.


   Lead: Amanda Hora

Volunteers


This committee is responsible for posting all of the volunteer opportunities (i.e., dibs) for the band. They will work with directors and other committees when the need for volunteers arises. Links to the dibs will be communicated to the parents on the band app.
