Volunteering with the 728 Cadets Organization

The 728 Cadets Winter Arts mission is to teach students through life experiences while they pursue excellence in the ultimate sport of music in motion.  We do this through the excellence of our Directors, support from the ISD 728 School district, enthusiastic community partners and through the involvement of our student’s parents, friends and family. 

Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year and we welcome and encourage parents and community members to be a part of the program's activities to celebrate student achievements along the way. 

Volunteer Opportunities

We would not be able to run this organization without parent volunteers working in the limelight and behind the scenes. Every contribution, whether big or small, is vital for the success of the groups. There are a lot of different ways you can volunteer with the organization, so don’t assume that your contribution isn’t important!

 Here are a few examples of the many different ways you can volunteer:

• Ride the bus with the students to/from a competition
• Join the Board or a Committee 
• Chaperone an out of state trip
• Set up props at a performance
• Volunteer at our home show
• Walk with the band to give them water at the summer parades
• Serve on the board or on a board committee
• Pull a trailer to/from practice
• Prepare/donate/serve food at band camp in the summer
• Help set up or tear down an event
• Help maintain our website
• Sewing/altering flags and/or uniforms
